Hi my friend,

      Have you dried out, yet?   I am sorry to hear about the storm; but, I am glad that you are safe.  As you know, the storms can get pretty bad, on this side of the world, too.  But, we weather it as much as possible.  You will get through it too.  Just know that my  prayers are with you. I sent a care package, so look for it. 
     Not much going on here.  earlier this year, when the figs ripened, I invited some neighbors over to get as much as they wanted.  Since my aunt passed away; I don't feel much like canning figs, anymore.  That was our thing to do together.  I had fun listening to her stories while we cooked and canned figs all day long. 
     Have you ever thought about death?  I know this is an out of the blue question; but I wondered what you thought about it.  I tend to think about it a lot these days.  Maybe because so many of the older people are dying.  It seems like we have a funeral every year.  Some of the younger people are dying, too.  So many stupid accidents.  There is no rhyme or reason for it.  I'm going to stop right here.  I'm making myself feel sad.
